S.T.A.R.S., Inc. was born from the desire of a hard working social worker wanting to do more to help empower Georgia families and to provide them with the the tools and resources to build strong communities in 2004.  S.T.A.R.S., Inc. offers an array of services from consulting to hands on delivery of a variety services.  S.T.A.R.S., Inc. assists Child Care Institutions with program development, quality assurance and human resources activities.  In July 2007, S.T.A.R.S., Inc became a Georgia Medicaid Rehab Option, Specialty Provider approved to offer Intensive Family Intervention Services to children and adolescents in Crisis.  These services consist of Family Therapy, Individual Counseling, Community Support and Educational Advocacy.  In April 2008, S.T.A.R.S., Inc  also became an approved vendor for PPL Services.  This allowed our agency to become a strong force in the community by assisting families to gain access to resources for childcare, tutoring, parenting skills, rent and utility assistance, clothing  and furniture assistance, Boys and Girls Clubs/YMCA Memberships and so much more....

Who We Are

We have teams of  professional staff that include licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, master's level and bachelor's level clinicians with years of clinical and social service exerience.  Our teams include three clinicians that consist of the Team Leader who is a licensed clinician that serves as the family therapist; a Mental Health Professional who serves as the individual counselor and is a master's level clinician; and a paraprofessional who holds a bachelor's degree that provides community support and educational advocacy through the linkages of services and resources within the families own community.
